Polygloss Inks :
This quality of inks have been very carefully formulated to meet the
quality requirement of Flexo and Gravure printing system respectively for
carrying out surface printing jobs on various substrates. The most wider
application of this ink system is in the printing of pre-treated
Polyethylene and Polypropylene, although it satisfies the adhesion
characteristics on different difficult film which sometimes cannot be
achieved with any other ink.
-
Substarte : Polygloss ink provides good adhesion on treated
Polyethylene, treated Polypropylene, Polyester, Nylon, PVC coated
cellulose film (PT), aluminum foil. It can also be printed on paper and
Board.
- Ink Reducer : The selection criterion of solvents for
reducing the ink to print application viscosity is dependent upon the
print process (Flexo or Gravure), press speeds and drying
condition.
- Wash Up Rollers and stereos : Marudhar Flexo inks in general are
safe to use with most rubber stereos. Incase of photopolymer plates the
solvent system requires modification to ensure optimum plate life.
- Shade Range : Standard shades are available in our range.
Specific shade matching is undertaken against customers special demand.
Sometimes restriction on pigments meeting specific resistance property
requirement may cause hindrance in matching the shade in absolute term.
Customers approval is sought prior to releasing such ink.
- Light fastness : The Light fastness characteristics is generally
provided by the pigment. Reasonable Light fastness is available from the
pigments used in our application, however in case of extended
exposure to direct sunlight this property must be specified while
ordering so that right grade of light fast pigment is incorporated.
- Resistance Property : For general purpose printing in built
propertied such as high surface slip, scratch resistance and high gloss
have been provided. These inks do not offer heat resistance
therefore not suitable where heat sealing on the print is desired.
In case of jobs requiring improved resistance to water, deep freeze,
milk, fruit juice, oils and ghee these inks are not recommended .
Similarly where resistance to alkali and detergent is required these inks
are unsuitable.
- Lamination : Not recommended for adhesive lamination in spite of
the fact that these inks have good adhesion on polyester and BOPP
films.
- Special Note : The aforesaid technical information has been based
on the tests carried out in our laboratory and experience gained in the
field. Since we have no control over the operating conditions at the end
users point it is imperative that customer satisfies themselves by
carrying out their own tests to asses about performance of each
product prior to commencement of actual print run. No warranty therefore
can be given and our sales are governed by standard terms and condition.

Reverse Polyester Inks :
These inks are specially suitable for printing of reverse polyester films
possessing good printability, good light fatness, at varying press
speeds. Good adhesive lamination characteristics thus satisfying the
lamination requirement with aluminum foil, polyethylene film, paper and
board for a variety of packaging application.
The prints can be laminated with the usual
polyurethane based two-component adhesive.
- Substrate : Marudhar reverse polyester inks provides good adhesion
on untreated polyester film. In case of special requirements to compound
stability in-line corona pre-treatment of the respective substrate
materials is recommended.
- Ink Reducer : Inks are reduced to print application viscosity by
recommended reducer, a mixture of MIBK and Toluene. Where printing
is done at very high speed a mixture of Toluene and Ethyl Acetate can
also be used. The recommended retarder is MIBK. Retarder, however,
should be avoided in order to prevent from a retention of solvents.
- Wash Up : The recommended reducers can be safely used for cleaning
of wash up of Gravure cylinders.
- Shade Range : Pigmented as well as transparent (metal complex dyes
based) colors in full range are available. Specific shades can be
matched against customer's demand.
- Lamination : Bond strength of laminate is very much dependent on
the adhesive quality, ink deposition weight, adhesive coating weight,
nature of substrates laminated ad nature of the job. It is therefore
recommended that right quality of adhesive be selected and uniformity of
coating weight is properly controlled in order to get standard lamination
results. Curing of laminates at controlled temperature and humidity for a
minimum of 48 hrs is indispensable to achieve best lamination bond value.
- Special Note : The aforesaid technical information has been based
on the tests carried out in our laboratory and experience gained in the
field. Since we have no control over the operating conditions at the end
users point it is imperative that customer satisfies themselves by
carrying out their own tests to assess about performance of each product
prior to commencement of actual print run. No warranty therefore can be
given and our sales are governed by standard terms and condition.

Super Polygloss Inks :
These inks have been formulated for
surface printing of polyethylene and polypropylene films either by
Gravure or Flexography process. Super Polygloss Ink series offers high
print strength, high gloss and good printability on wide range of
substrates. These inks satisfies the quality demand in respect of
vegetable oil and wide range of substrates. These inks satisfies the
quality demand in respect of vegetable oil and spice resistance. However,
for aggressive type of vegetable oil ( mustard oil ) and spices (
turmeric, etc. ), the recommendation is to use two pack AR inks.
- Substrate :
Super Polygloss inks when printed on pre-treated polyethylene and
polypropylene having at least 38 dynes/cm of treatment level will ensure
good adhesion. Uniform treatment level throughout the length and breadth
of the film is essential or optimum resistance properties.
- Ink Reducer : The selection of reducer is guided by the print
process followed either Gravure or Flexo, press speeds and drying
condition. Incase of Flexo process the recommended reducer is a mixture
of IPA and Butanol and for Gravure printing process a blend of IPA and
Toluene satisfies the printing condition. Butanol acts as Retarder and
its proportion may be decreased or increased depending upon the press
speed.
- Wash Up : Marudhar Super Polygloss inks in general are safe to use
with most rubber stereos. Incase of photopolymer plates the solvent
system requires modification to ensure optimum plate life.
- Color Range : Customized shade matching is preferred. Most of the
standard print buyer's shade are readily available.
- Resistance Properties : Super Polygloss inks do not offer high heat
resistance therefore is not recommended where heat sealing is done on the
printed area. They are also not suitable where chemical resistance
properties such as alkali and detergent resistant is required for which
our two pack AR/SR Inks are recommended. It offers
resistance properties to vegetable oil, Vanaspati ghee when packed in
printed pouches following BIS specification. Elevated temperature
packing may cause failure in ink adhesion.
- Lamination : These type of inks are not recommended for adhesive
lamination in spite of the fact that these inks have good adhesion on
polyester and BOPP films.
